This Friday I would just like to say truly embrace who you are...being Black is great!
It is such a honor when your culture becomes something that other people want to make their own. It is truly amazing when people become upset when they are not able to be apart of what you have.
For years there have been words, clothes, sayings, music, and inventions that others would love to be able to claim. In a lot of instances many of them have been taken away from us and hidden from the masses about where they really come from. We have allowed our culture to be stripped and ripped for years. We have complained and hollered, but still it continues to happen all of the time.
So what still shocks me is the amount of screams and hollers from the other side????
Yesterday I asked, "Is it appropriate for Blacks to be able to sing the song 'My President's Black'?"
A lot of people from other races have been complaining that it is not appropriate and they would not be able to say "My President's White".
And we all know that so many races do not understand why we are able to use the word Nigga and they are not.
Here is the reality: In this crazy country you say is built to give equality to all, well....it hasn't really lived up to what it said it would. We have went so many years without a number of rights that other races have. You want to be able to use our slang and sing the songs we sing? Like Chris Rock stated, lets trade places.
You be Hip Hip...we will raise taxes, live in better homes, have better jobs, go to better schools, have 43 times where the President looks like us, and still come out on top...even during a recession.
You use the word nigga and scream that your President is White at the top of your lungs. We will sit on the other side and cry while sitting in our nice Mansions in the suburbs.
The point is you are complaining about not being able to use things that in the grand scheme of things means nothing compared to all of the millions of things that we have been denied for years. Please try and walk a mile in our shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So whether or not we should even say some of these things (that's another topic), let us be happy about the few things that we have left to claim of our own. Let us continue to create moments that we can be proud of without you complaining about not being apart of it. Try asking to embrace some of the things in our culture that have a lot more meaning.
I believe that at the end of the day we should all be equal. But until it is an even playing field and all men are truly given the same rights...then I say

Friday's Top Way to Keep Up: Embrace who YOU are, respect other people's culture, and just live your life with out worrying about others.
Don't be afraid to celebrate who you are because you are worried about what others might say.
Every culture has their own traditions and practices. We should all be able to enjoy this world together without complaining what the other has as long we all can enjoy the basic neccessaties of life. (And right now you still deny us a few of those..give us those first and we will share our "words" with you)
Come on everyone...KEEP UP!

AWESOME!
I'm guessing the stealing thing is a byproduct of having recessive genes.
Don't ya just love the melanin deficient?
It must be a byproduct...that would explain it!
How you shout out the Delta's, but forget the Nupes?!
sorry!!!!!!!!!! dont kill me...It was late last night.
yea but it is something foul about ssaying that and that my lambo blue to me
have a great weekend and chk my new post...
Only the statement "My President's Black" should be said...the rest of the song..not so much!lol
I'll leave it with the ole' Katt Williams those with melanin can use the "n" word as long as those without can say "bad credit." I personally don't use the word, I find it in poor taste, but, I completely concur with the sentiment.
yeah thats why I said that us being able to say the word is another topic in itself!
I'm so loooving this post. I was just having a conversation with my friend on the phone about Fox News calling Jay-Z and Young Jeezy performance of My President is Black racist. Ain't that some mess. White people really have issues. They run the world and complain when black rappers make a rap song and perform it at a black club. Like how did they even know that was happening? Please get a life. You need more people.
What they also fail to realize is that in order to be truly racist you have to be a superior race. If we sing that song it has little effect on the grand scheme of things. If they do it...it is considered racist because of their place in our society.
