Friday's Top Ways To Keep Up

1. Reflect on all of the accomplishments we have made as a race as we celebrate 100 years since the NACCP was formed. Yesterday marked the 100th year and was celebrated as the Image Awards honored Blacks for their success in 2008. Isn't it amazing that on the 100th anniversary a Black man became president of the United States of America? This just goes to show that visions really do come true.

Imagine how far your dream could go. Dream BIG!

2. This Valentines Day do something creative for your love one. Everyone does the typical things when the 14th comes around. Dinner, movie, flowers, candy, cards, and teddy bears. Come on we can do better then this.

This year do something that makes your mate know that you truly do care about them. Let's dig deeper into your relationship and pull out some things that mean something to the both of you.

They key is to think about something that your mate really likes. It could be a food, song, artist, place, picture, etc...

Take that favorite thing and make it a big deal. Let me show you what I mean:

So my ex-boyfriend wants to write films and make movies. So for Valentines Day I gave him a card that said tonight you can make your very first film. I borrowed a video camera, got some props, and let him direct his film. He was so excited. Well I guess your wondering what the film was about? Let's just say this film will not be sold in stores near you. (I know I know...come on everything on this site can't be PG :)

So you get the idea. The crazy thing is that the most creative things end up meaning so much more, but costing so much LESS!

If you need any ideas feel free to send me an email @ bwomack@imkeepingup.com

Make sure that you have a list of things that your mate likes.
