YES DEFINETLY! I made sure my executive board had business cards. Theres even restaurants like Fridays and Dave and Busters where you can throw your business card in a bowl and if you get randomly selected you can get a free meal which is also another way to network and maybe have an event at these places. Its defiently a must have and a good look. the words "here's my business card" have a huge effect especially if they arent expecting it..
Thanks. I've heard a lot about vistaprint. Actually, I think I"m going to get some for my blog. It's new, but I talk about it a lot and I'm sick of writing the link down...lol
I'm going to their site now!!! thanks.
Thanks for a great post. I actually have a business card already. I got it at the start of my summer internship. I’ve been networking like crazy. ( I’m interning at a Fortune 500 company) . It comes in handy!
I will definitely pass this post to some of my Colleagues
Yea, this was a great post. I got business cards made through vistaprint.com a couple of months ago. Now George Deron (recommended by keeping up) is designing business cards and a logo for my blog.
Thanks for giving me two tips in a row!
@Mr. $tephen$: I agree! I think that off back someone will take you more serious if you hand them a business card. I sometimes participate in those resturant things...I wish I would win one day! lol but I think that it is a good idea.
@Danielle B: Yeah that is one reason that I got business cards for my site. I would be out covering an event or something and I would always have to write the link down for someone. It became annoying and not so professional
@Politicista: Yeah I woudl spread the word to everyone. During this reccession it is especially important to network hard and market yourself well. Having a business card is a start.
@Loudpen: You are very welcome. And I am glad that I could link the two of you. That is what this blog is all about! We all must help each other Keep Up!
This is my new love! http://us.moo.com/en/
Check out their mini cards (they have business cards too). Business cards are for business and yes we should all have them. Still some occasions call for something more personal (i.e. something sans work contact info)
These are perfect for social interactions (put your email/phone number/blog website/twitter ID/ etc.) It brings back the "personal calling card."
That way you can keep your business business and your social social.
