Winner of the $50 Gift Certificate goes to....

Last week "Keeping Up" held a contest for the person that could comment the most in a week and spark the most conversation. The point of the contest was to encourage people to start commenting more and really start holding conversations that can be effective towards the change that our community needs to see.

I was so proud of the comments that my readers left and would like to thank everyone for their participation in the contest. I hope that after this everyone is encouraged to leave comments and really join the discussion about our race.

Special congrats to LoudPen and Politicista for having the most comments and leading a close race, but there can only be one winner.

But before I announce the winner, here are a few of the comments they made:

"If Spike Lee goes thru with School Daze II , I think that he should cover the difference between African American’s that attend a regular private/public university and those who attend a HBCU . What are the major differences or similarities , etc. That would be a very interesting aspect to cover." -Politicista
