My Daddy is My Valentine....

A lot of dads today don't understand how important a father/daughter bond actually is. We as females tend to hold on to the precious moments with our fathers. Remember in Beyonces song titled Daddy when she stated, "I remember when you used to take me on a bike ride every day on the bayou, I remember that we were inseparable"...

I have fond memories of every Valentines Day rolling around and my father leaving a gift for his ladies on the kitchen table. Mom would have a huge bouquet of white roses, chocolates and a nice jewelry box. My sisters and I would have a little box of chocolates, a rose, card, and a small jewelry box. We would all anxiously open our gift boxes to see who got what. This always made my Valentines Day super special. Whether I had a valentine or not, I knew that there was one man in my life who truly loved me unconditionally. That man didn't have to wait for one special day to show me his love, he gave it to me all year round. So with that I say, "Thank You Daddy." Fathers show your little girl that she is special and that she doesn't have to wait on a man to show her love, because the love you have for her is already stong.

Happy Valentines Day...

Awww, my dad used to do this for me as well. The mini box of chocolates and card that were dwarfed by my mom's gift sent me to school with a smile every 2/14.

I encourage fathers to do this for their little girls. It's one way to make sure they feel appreciated and are too easily woo-ed by the simple gestures of possible future men in their lives.

My dad use to do this for me also! I would go to school in high school and be mad if I didn't get a gift...but I would come home and there was always something waiting for me! It placed such a big smile on my face.

I encourge every father to do this! So many girls look for love in men in all the wrong ways because they didn't get the right type of love from their fathers.

i'll be 25 in a couple of months, i LIVE with my boyfriend of almost 5 years... and my dad still sent me a card with $20 for valentine's day!

when i was going through that awkward phase in middle/high school and felt like no boys liked me, my dad would tell me, "i'll always be your valentine!"

it meant so much then and now because it really gave me the self esteem i needed to be ready for the man that loves me now! ;)
